Monica was born in Clearwater, Florida, in 1967 to Melanie (“Mel”) Swaim and Robert (“Bob”) Turnburke. Monica Lyn Turnburke, 55, of Nashua, Montana, died on July 11, 2023, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Memorials may be sent the Glasgow Pool Fund, Markle Ambulance Fund or a charity of your choice. A family memorial will be held at a later date. The last few years, she enjoyed the company of friends and staff at Prairie Ridge. She is survived by her sister, GayAnne Hainline of Missoula and many nieces and nephews. She has 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Debbie (Tee) of SLC, Utah, Jeff (Lori) of Kennewick, Washington, Laurie, (Jim) of Sundance, Wyoming, and Lisa, (Randy) of Billings, Montana. Her family looked forward to her cooking and baking skills. She looked forward to spending time with her children and their families. Kae enjoyed exercise, golf, playing bridge, traveling and meeting her friends for coffee. While there she met Robert, “Tag” Markle and they married in 1950. She spent her childhood there and later moved to Missoula to attend the University of Monana. Kae was born to John and Annie Lythgoe on November 4th, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT. Kae Lythgoe Markle, longtime resident of Glasgow, Montana died at the age of 92 on August 1, 2023. Condolences may be left for the family at. She is survived by her children: Kip Hentges of Fort Peck, Karen Hentges of North Nashua, Kae Hentges of Queen Valley, Arizona, Ken Hentges of Wolf Point, Kevin Hentges of Frazer, Kyle Hentges of Wolf Point, Klint Hentges of Pahrump, Nevada, Kristi (Randy) Barnett of Glasgow and Kory (Kerry) Hentges of Glasgow numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, Edward parents sister, Joyce Steele of Columbia Falls, Montana, and brother, Billy Wilkinson. She also enjoyed bird watching and reading. She loved animals, especially her dogs that she had over the years: her favorite being Missy Mouse. She loved being a farmer and knew a lot about it. After Ed’s passing in 1980, she continued farming with help at different times from her boys. Together they had nine children and Barbara took on the roles of wife, mother, ranch hand, and farm hand. At some point later she was introduced by a friend and future sister-in-law to Edward Hentges.īarbara and Edward were married in 1953. After work, she and a group of friends would go dancing when local bands would play in the Wolf Point area. After high school, she worked for Shell Oil Company as a dispatcher. She graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1952. She primarily grew up on her grandparent’s homestead on Wolf Creek, north of Wolf Point, where she rode horses and helped her grandparents with their sheep. Mom was born on January 1, 1934, at her Aunt Flossie’s house on the north side of Wolf Point to William and Ione (Sugden) Wilkinson. Barbara Jean (Wilkinson) Hentges the matriarch of our family passed away at her home in Frazer, Montana on July 28, 2023.
